Flights from Dubrovnik

Like Split, Dubrovnik is one of the largest cities in Croatia. The airport was opened for air traffic in 1962. It was almost completely destroyed during the battle of Dubrovnik. It took more than five years to rebuild the Dubrovnik airport and accommodate incoming flights again. Today, it transports about 1.6 million passengers annually.

Information about the Dubrovnik airport

You can reach the Dubrovnik airport, which is located about 20 km southeast from the center of Dubrovnik, via highway 8. The airport, like all airports in Croatia, is relatively small. Still, it has plenty to offer – in addition to restaurants serving traditional and international cuisine, there’s also a duty free and various other shops.

Travel to the Dubrovnik airport

The cheapest way to get to the Dubrovnik airport from the city is the local bus service. Buses, however, only run three times a day. There are also airport buses that run more frequently and cost approximately €5 per trip. Those who prefer to take a taxi should expect to pay about €25. The journey takes about 25 minutes.
